Serving the Displaced Youth of Haiti

In 2010, Haiti was struck by a 7.0 Mw earthquake which left more than 200,000 people dead. Volunteering to assist the region in its cleanup and humanitarian efforts, Brian Young would feel a calling from God to do even more. Following the events of Hurricane Matthew in 2016, he would establish the Brian Young Foundation in an effort to better serve the neglected and otherwise displaced youth of Haiti.

How to Get Involved Today

Working with and providing support for the at-risk individuals of Haiti can be accomplished from anywhere in the world. A gorgeous island filled with people beholden to too much suffering, there are a number of ways to begin helping.

Most importantly, Brian implores all of his readers to lift their voices in prayer, trusting that the Lord will help and uplift the people of Haiti.

Led by and driven to bring change to those less fortunate, Brian Young would call upon his heritage as both a Christian and a Texan when traveling to Haiti for the first time in 2010. After the people of Haiti had suffered through a cataclysmic 7.0 Earthquake, more than 200,000 individuals would lose their lives while an additional 300,000 were left with injuries. A mere six years later, the country of Haiti would be health a striking blow through Hurricane Matthew, losing another 546 lives with an additional $1.9 million in damages.

Driven by a desire to bring change to the reason, Young would embark upon a trip to Haiti which would transform his life and his life’s goals. Upon providing aid and support during his inaugural trip, Brian would be called upon to do even more for the lost, displaced, and otherwise hurt people of Haiti. The Brian Young Foundation would grow from these roots and nearly a decade later, its important work continues.

Of particular note, the Brian Young Foundation is focused on providing support not just today, but also a support structure for all the tomorrows to come. This effort is being realized through focused support for education, healthcare, supporting orphanages, and helping the ,orphans of Haiti due to natural disasters.
